Basketball player Tristan Thompson, who is the former partner of reality star Khloe Kardashian, is dealing with the news of his mother’s passing on Friday evening.
It was reported that Thompson’s mom, Andrea Thompson, passed away from a heart attack.

Thompson become notable in pop culture when he dated Khloe Kardashian for a few years. The former couple has two children together, a daughter True, who is five years old, and a five-month-old son via surrogate.
The pair’s relationship has been in the spotlight for negative reasons, such as Thompson’s cheating scandals, however they have continued to co-parent and their families remain close.
Paying tribute to the pro-athlete’s late mother, Khloe’s mother Kris Jenner wrote: “I am so heartbroken by the sudden passing of Tristan’s mom, Andrea. My thoughts, prayers and all of my love are with Tristan, Amari, Dishawn and Daniel.
“You were the most amazing, dedicated, devoted, and selfless mom and such a loving, kind, and fabulous grandmother. What a blessing you were to your family!!! I will miss you, Andrea. I will miss your bright spirit and amazing light. Thank you for always praying for us and lifting us up and encouraging us along the way. Rest in peace beautiful angel @realtristan13.”

Khloe has been photographed supporting the father of her children during this difficult time. The businesswoman was snapped by the paparazzi arriving in Toronto, Canada, to support his family, TMZ reported.
It was also reported that Tristan left his Los Angeles home as quickly as he could to be with his family in Toronto.
Khloe was close to Tristan’s mother.
Khloe has shared on her family’s reality show on Hulu The Kardashians that co-parenting with Thompson has been tough and an emotional roller coaster.
In one episode, in season two, she described how she was feeling after another cheating scandal made the rounds in the media involving Thompson.
“Ever since December, it’s been this dark cloud looming over me. Every single day, I’ve been feeling depressed and sad, and now that my son is here, I get to move on and I get to enjoy. It’s almost like I get to close that chapter and be done with this trauma and put it behind me.

“Now I finally get to start the healing process. Now I get to start enjoying my life with two kids in it and figuring this out,” she added. “This is gonna be day one, and this is gonna be the start of something positive and happy and beautiful.”
